Elliot Alderson is a cybersecurity engineer with a dissociative disorder who hacks people instead of talking to them. He works at a firm that protects Evil Corp — the largest financial corporation in America. Then a man called Mr. Robot appears: no verifiable past, no clear name, just an invitation to join his underground collective fsociety and erase Evil Corp's global debt records. Taking the offer means betraying every client Elliot is paid to protect. He takes it anyway.
While Elliot runs operations against Evil Corp from inside Allsafe, his childhood friend Angela is digging into the company for her own reasons, and Tyrell Wellick — Evil Corp's dangerously ambitious second-in-command — becomes a wild card no one planned for.
