Somewhere in self-imposed isolation, he has built a rigid daily routine — wake, eat, basketball, read — and is trying to remove Mr. Robot from his mind for good. It isn't working. Darlene takes over fsociety and pivots the group toward a new target: the FBI itself. Angela takes a job inside Evil Corp, working within the corporation she helped cripple. FBI agent Dominique DiPierro flies to China, pulling on threads that lead back to the Dark Army. Everyone is closing in on everyone else. The season's real subject isn't the hacking — it's whether Elliot can hold his own perception together long enough to act.
