Synopsis
The Legend of Korra (2012), Season 1: 12 episodes, Nickelodeon, watch online on iFILM. Korra is the new Avatar — Water, Earth, and Fire she has handled for years. Air is the missing piece. She arrives in Republic City to train with Tenzin, Aang's son, and finds a metropolis where technology and bending politics have grown tangled together.
The city is under pressure. The Equalist movement, led by the masked Amon, argues that benders have used their gifts to dominate ordinary people — and it knows how to take that power away permanently. Korra has to train under a teacher she chafes against, play on a pro-bending team she chose instead of the lesson plan, and reckon with a political conflict she was never prepared for. The first book builds a darker, more morally complicated world than most viewers expect from a sequel to a children's animated series.
