ABCs of Death 2

ABCs of Death 2 (2014) is a horror anthology you can watch online on iFILM. Twenty-six directors from eleven countries — Brazil, Japan, Nigeria, Lithuania, the Philippines and beyond — each took one letter of the alphabet and made something that ends in death. Format and genre were entirely their own call.

The results swing wildly on purpose. Stop-motion animation butts up against body horror. Pitch-black comedy gives way to Japanese surrealism. European arthouse lands next to a hard-edged slasher. Contributors include Vincenzo Natali, Larry Fessenden, Alejandro Brugués and over twenty others with almost nothing in common beyond the premise. That controlled chaos is the point: the anthology works as a global survey of what directors from different film cultures find genuinely disturbing.
