Stuart Pritchard is a British web designer in Los Angeles who is completely certain that the right social setting will unlock the life he thinks he's owed. Eight episodes, eight attempts: crashing a nightclub guest list, commandeering a friend's limo for a night that ends badly, throwing a pool party to impress a model who hasn't actually agreed to come, rearranging the seating chart at a wedding. His housemate Jessica keeps going to auditions that don't call back; his friend Wade is trying to win his estranged wife Marion back.

Attending a wedding with Jessica and Glenn, Stuart tries to reconfigure the seating plan after learning he won't be at a table with attractive, single women. Meanwhile, Jessica waits to hear about her call-back audition for the lead role in a network show.

Stuart brags to anyone and everyone about his pending night out with Kimberly. Later, he drives Wade, Jessica and Kives around to some parties, including Amelia's birthday, where Jessica relishes that the tables have turned with Amelia.
