Synopsis
Bad Samaritan (2018) is a horror-tinged thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Sean and his friend valet cars at an upscale restaurant, then rob the diners' homes while they eat. The con runs smoothly until one house changes everything.
Breaking into the mansion of a client named Cale Erendreich, Sean finds a woman chained and beaten in a hidden room. He can't call the police without confessing his own crimes, and he can't just walk away. Cale, played with ice-cold menace by David Tennant, turns out to be a meticulous predator who has done this before and cleaned up every time. Now he knows someone saw, and he starts hunting back.
Director Dean Devlin keeps the tension on a slow burn, trading gore for a cat-and-mouse game the villain seems destined to win. Robert Sheehan plays the petty thief with a conscience, with Kerry Condon alongside him. It's a tight little chase that works because Tennant is genuinely unsettling.
