Synopsis

Wish Upon a Star (1996) is an American-Canadian TV fantasy-comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Blair Treu. Katherine Heigl and Danielle Harris play sisters who cannot stand each other — until a shooting star hands them exactly what they thought they wanted.

Alexia is the popular one: a boyfriend, the right clothes, grades that don't slow her down. Hayley is the studious younger sister who finds all of it hollow. One wish later, they wake up in each other's bodies, with one school day — and then another — to figure out why the other person's life is nothing like it looked from the outside.

The body-swap formula is well-worn, but Heigl and Harris keep it grounded, playing their switched roles with enough specificity that the comedy lands without feeling mean.
