Synopsis

Watch The Larry Sanders Show (1992) Season 1 online on iFILM — 13 episodes of HBO's backstage comedy about a late-night talk show and the neurotic host who fronts it. Garry Shandling plays Larry: smooth on camera, a wreck the moment the lights go down.

The opening season lays out the whole machine. Network suits force Larry to read a live sponsor spot mid-show, vain sidekick Hank Kingsley negotiates for a raise and a golf cart, a so-called friend angles to push producer Artie out of his chair, and Larry himself swings between jealousy and rating-driven panic until he hires a focus group to fix everything. The camera keeps cutting between studio polish and the petty feuds in the green room, and the green room wins.
