Synopsis
Just Wright (2010) is a romantic comedy with Queen Latifah and Common you can watch online on iFILM. Leslie Wright is a physical therapist and a die-hard basketball fan, and one day the job of a lifetime lands in her lap: rehabbing NBA star Scott McKnight after an injury that could end his career.
The more time they spend together through grueling sessions, the harder Leslie falls. The trouble is, Scott has eyes for her glamorous godsister Morgan, who is angling to be a trophy wife. Leslie gets stuck in the role of the dependable friend and coach — the one nobody picks first, even though she's the reason he's walking back onto the court.
Director Sanaa Hamri centers the genre on a lead it rarely makes room for: smart, grounded, refreshingly un-airbrushed. Real NBA players and broadcasters turn up courtside, and Common, for once, plays a vulnerable athlete instead of a rapper.
