Fever Pitch

Fever Pitch (1997) is a British romantic comedy to watch online on iFILM, directed by David Evans and adapted from Nick Hornby's autobiographical novel. Colin Firth plays Paul Ashworth, a man who has spent two decades in Arsenal's stands and sees nothing unusual about that.

Paul is a thirty-something English teacher who finally meets the right woman — his colleague Sarah, played by Ruth Gemmel. The catch: she doesn't understand why a grown adult would grieve over a missed penalty. Their relationship unfolds alongside Arsenal's improbable 1988–89 league season, both lurching from disaster to unlikely triumph on roughly the same schedule. Mark Strong appears as one of Paul's terrace regulars.
