About

Synopsis

Extraordinary Measures (2010) is a true-story drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Tom Vaughan put Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford at the centre of the real John Crowley case: two of Crowley's children were diagnosed with Pompe disease, a rare genetic disorder that stops the body processing glycogen, and the prognosis without treatment was bleak.

Crowley walks away from a rising corporate career to co-found a biotech startup with Dr. Robert Stonehill — a brilliant, abrasive researcher the mainstream medical community had written off. The two push an experimental enzyme therapy through a maze of FDA timelines, investor pressure and corporate politics, while the clock runs on Crowley's kids. Keri Russell plays his wife, quietly carrying the domestic cost of her husband's obsession.

What makes it stick is that it refuses the clean triumph arc: the system doesn't bend, it grinds. Stream Extraordinary Measures (2010) online on iFILM.
