Natsume's Book of Friends (2024), Season 7 is twelve episodes of fantasy anime you can watch online on iFILM. High-schooler Takashi no longer treats his gift as a curse, and he keeps returning youkai their names from the keepsake book his late grandmother Reiko left behind.

Most of this season runs as standalone tales carried by the show's familiar soft sadness. A clay figure Takashi sculpts for fun goes missing and stirs up the house; a goddess presses him into rebuilding her tiny home; an errand for sweets leads to muttering scarecrows and a strange dream that follows. The back half builds a longer thread, too: Natori and Matoba take on a ritual to summon a powerful god, and in episode eleven Takashi finally meets the very first youkai whose name Reiko ever wrote into the Book of Friends — the kind of payoff that rewards sticking with the series this long.

Studio Shuka picks up the tone of the earlier seasons without bending it: the same quiet resolutions, the same belief that humans and spirits can understand one another.
