Happy Valley returns for Season 2 (2016) — six more episodes of BBC crime drama to watch online on iFILM. Eighteen months on, the West Yorkshire valley is buried in other people's secrets again.
Catherine Cawood now wears a bravery medal, and Tommy Lee Royce is serving life — yet from his cell he keeps reaching for her grandson, Ryan. When Royce's mother turns up dead, the suspicion lands, absurdly, on Catherine herself. To clear her name she takes on a trafficking case that opens onto a string of murdered women. The two investigations slowly braid together.
Sally Wainwright widens the canvas without losing the close focus: a local teacher whose lies snowball, Royce pulling strings through Ryan's school, a community that looks placid and isn't.
