TV-MASynopsis
Dark Desire (Oscuro deseo, 2020), Season 1 — an 18-episode Mexican crime drama on Netflix, watch online on iFILM. Law professor Alma is married, steady, in control of her life. One weekend away with a recently divorced friend ends all of that.
She sleeps with a stranger named Darío Guerra. Her friend Brenda is murdered the same night. Detective Esteban's first question cuts straight to the problem: who is this man? The case pulls in Alma's husband Leonardo and her daughter Zoe — each following a separate lead, each hiding something. Darío's past keeps producing new shadows: a connection to an old unsolved murder, a mother with secrets, a history Alma cannot verify. The show builds toward eighteen episodes of competing versions of the same night, nearly all of them wrong.
The Netflix telenovela-thriller format fits the material well — Maite Perroni anchors a story that is less about whodunit and more about what Alma discovers she didn't know about people she trusted. Watch Season 1 of Dark Desire online on iFILM.
