Boarding School

Will Patton and Tammy Blanchard play the two teachers running the place — controlled, watchful, and wrong in ways Jacob can't pin down at first. As he gets closer to the other students, the school's true purpose starts coming into focus.

Yakin builds the film slowly, layering detail until the picture shifts from gothic unease into something considerably darker. Luke Prael carries the lead with more restraint than most child performances allow.
