Synopsis
Willard (2003) is an American psychological horror film directed by Glen Morgan — stream it online on iFILM. Crispin Glover plays the title character in this remake of the 1971 cult classic: a repressed, isolated man who discovers he can command an army of rats.
Willard is trapped at every turn. His overbearing mother keeps him tethered to the family's crumbling mansion, and his boss Frank — played with bullying relish by R. Lee Ermey — makes every workday a small humiliation. Two rats, Socrates and Ben, become his only real companions. When Socrates is killed at the office, the quiet starts to crack.
Glover carries this entirely on his own terms, building something genuinely unsettling out of a character who is pathetic and dangerous in equal measure. Morgan's film treats Willard less as a monster than as a cornered person with one new kind of power. Watch Willard (2003) online on iFILM.
