Synopsis
What If...? (2021), Season 1 — nine animated episodes you can watch online on iFILM, each one a single question that forks the Marvel Cinematic Universe somewhere unexpected.
Peggy Carter takes the super-soldier serum, not Steve Rogers. T'Challa gets abducted by the Ravagers, grows up as Star-Lord, and somehow talks Thanos out of his plan. The Avengers never assemble because someone is picking them off during Initiative week. Doctor Strange loses not his hands but the person he loved, and uses the Eye of Agamotto in ways no one sanctioned. The final two episodes scale up: Ultron acquires all the Infinity Stones, tears through the multiverse, and The Watcher — sworn to observe and nothing else — has to break his own oath to stop him.
