Each case lands on the team with a tight clock: a handful of days to dig back through evidence, lean on witnesses and work out whether the wrong person is sitting in a cell. Hayes doesn't take the job out of conscience — it's this or jail time over a scandal of her own. Backing her are prosecutor Conner Wallace (Shawn Ashmore), a forensic tech, an ex-detective and a couple of ambitious lawyers, each with a reason to care.
