Synopsis
Mean Dreams (2016) is Nathan Morlando's crime thriller, and you can watch it online on iFILM. Fifteen-year-olds Casey and Jonas fall for each other out in the Canadian farm country — and decide to run.
There's plenty to run from. Casey's father is the local sheriff, brutal and on the take, and in his cruiser the kids stumble onto a bag stuffed with drug money. They grab it and bolt, with a man wearing a badge and no limits coming after them. Bill Paxton plays the sheriff in one of his final roles.
Colm Feore appears as Jonas's father. Morlando shoots the chase in cold, tactile autumn light, turning a teenage first love into a tense, near-Western fight to survive.
