Synopsis
Seems Like Old Times (1980) is a screwball romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Novelist Nick Gardenia is quietly finishing a book at his seaside hideaway when two robbers drag him off at gunpoint and force him to help knock over a bank.
With the police now hunting him, the only person Nick trusts is his ex-wife Glenda. She's a soft-hearted lawyer, so she hides her runaway former husband in her house. The trouble is that the house belongs to her new husband — the district attorney — and he happens to be hosting a party for half the local police force. Nick won't stay put in a closet or under a bed; he keeps popping out at the worst possible moment from the most unlikely places.
Neil Simon wrote the script, and it shows — the lines fly faster than the characters can lie their way out of trouble. Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase play a divorced couple who never quite fell out of love, while Charles Grodin walks off with half the picture as the unflappable husband.
