Synopsis
Eleventh Hour (2008) is an American crime thriller series you can watch online on iFILM, airing on CBS with Rufus Sewell as the lead. It adapts the 2006 British ITV miniseries starring Patrick Stewart, expanding the format to a full season.
Dr. Jacob Hood is a biophysicist seconded to the FBI as a special science advisor. Wherever a crime or emergency has a scientific dimension — illegal cloning operations, trafficked biological materials, human experimentation — Hood gets called in. FBI Special Agent Rachel Young (Marley Shelton) is assigned to keep him alive, and gradually figures out how his mind works. Sewell plays Hood without the standard eccentric-genius template: just a scientist who actually believes that abused knowledge can kill, and takes it personally.
