TV-14Synopsis
In Living Color (1990), Season 1 is a Fox sketch-comedy series you can watch online on iFILM — 13 episodes from the show that rewired American TV comedy. Keenen Ivory Wayans assembled a cast and a sensibility that nobody else was running: sharp cultural satire, Black American perspective front and center, and parodies of Mike Tyson, Milli Vanilli, and MC Hammer that landed because they came from inside.
Season 1 is where the recurring characters are born. Anton the homeless man, the Men on Film critics, and — in episode nine — Homey D. Clown, whose debut was confident enough that he headlined the finale too. Jim Carrey, Damon Wayans, Jamie Foxx, and David Alan Grier are all here, already running at full speed before any of them became household names.
A sketch comedy that earned its Emmy by actually risking something. Watch In Living Color Season 1 online on iFILM.
