Luce

Luce (2019) is a psychological thriller directed by Julius Onah that you can watch online on iFILM. Luce is everything a high school can want: top grades, athletic records, a gleaming adoption story. Taken from Eritrea a decade ago by a well-meaning American couple, he has become the school's model student — and everyone's favorite proof that hard work pays off.

Then his teacher, played by Octavia Spencer, finds something in a class essay that she cannot ignore: admiration for political violence. From there the film unfolds as a chess match. His adoptive parents — Naomi Watts and Tim Roth — are pressed to choose between loyalty and honesty. Kelvin Harrison Jr. keeps every scene off-balance, showing just enough to make certainty impossible.
