Synopsis

A retired boxer locks himself in a Las Vegas hotel room with a disreputable trainer and starts cutting weight — fast, hard, and through methods that shouldn't be legal. He needs to make the class for one last title fight. As the pounds come off, the mind starts to slip. Bloom plays the disintegration with the physical commitment the role demands: by the third act, it's genuinely difficult to separate what's real within the story from what isn't. Ellis frames it less as a sports drama than a psychological chamber piece about how much a body can be made to carry.
