Synopsis
Ink (2009) is an American indie fantasy directed by Jamin Winans — watch it online on iFILM. Each night, two unseen forces move through the sleeping city: the Storytellers, who bring peaceful dreams, and the Incubi, who deliver nightmares. A creature calling itself Ink falls between these factions, stealing the spirit of a young girl named Emma and pulling her deeper into the space where dreams are made.
The only way to reach Emma is through her father John — a man who has all but abandoned her, consumed by grief and the wreckage of his own choices. The Storytellers work backward through cause and effect in the waking world, trying to crack John open before it's too late.
Winans shot the film for a reported budget under $250,000 and it spread through file-sharing networks before any formal distribution existed — the kind of grassroots word-of-mouth that only happens when a film genuinely surprises people. The mythology is entirely his own invention, and it earns its emotional payoff. Stream Ink (2009) on iFILM.
