Infestation

Infestation (2009) is an American sci-fi horror-comedy directed by Kyle Rankin — watch it online on iFILM. Cooper gets fired on a Monday morning and blacks out seconds later when a shrieking noise falls from the sky. He wakes up wrapped in a cocoon of webbing, surrounded by his dead coworkers.

Giant insects have taken the city. One sting is enough to turn a person into something monstrous. Cooper, his ex-boss's daughter Sara, and a handful of survivors scramble to escape, picking up a retired Special Forces soldier along the way. What started as a panicked retreat quickly turns into a scrappy counter-attack.

The film plays its premise almost entirely for laughs — the bugs are ridiculous by design, the hero is hapless by nature, and the whole thing runs a lean 91 minutes. A solid pick when you want creature-feature energy without genuine dread. Watch Infestation (2009) online on iFILM.
