Doctor Who (2024) is a BBC and Disney+ sci-fi series you can watch online on iFILM. This season marks the debut of Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor — a time-travelling alien who hops through centuries and galaxies in a blue police box — alongside Millie Gibson as companion Ruby Sunday. Behind the scenes, showrunner Russell T Davies returned to the series he relaunched in 2005, bringing a bigger budget and a deliberate push toward a global audience.

The stories range from Victorian London to alien planets to present-day Cardiff, each episode dropping the Doctor and Ruby into a crisis that turns out to matter more than it first appeared. Gatwa plays the role with a warmth and physical expressiveness that sets him apart from recent Doctors — the comedy lands, but so does the grief when the scripts go there. Aneurin Barnard and Jonathan Groff turn up in standout guest slots.

The BBC–Disney co-production deal gave the 2024 run production values the show hasn't had before, and it shows in the set pieces.
