Synopsis

Battlefield opens in modern England where knights in armour step through a dimensional portal and UNIT returns, Brigadier in tow. Ghost Light takes Ace to a Victorian house she once burned down — the trip shows her why she did it. The Curse of Fenric drops the Doctor and Ace into a WWII naval base haunted by an ancient enemy who planned this meeting centuries in advance: Viking runes, bloodthirsty Haemovores, and a trap that turns on faith rather than weapons. Survival brings Ace home to Perivale — residents vanishing, feral cheetah-people hunting, and the Master at the centre of it. Season 26 threads a loose character arc across all four stories: Ace facing her own history, her anger, the person she was before the TARDIS.

The Brigadier rescues the Doctor from the stone spaceship before they set out to locate Morgaine before she gains Excalibur.

Morgaine forces Ace and Shou Yuing to hand over Excalibur by threatening to release the Destroyer, so the Doctor and the Brigadier enter a dimensional portal to stop her.
