Faye Dunaway plays Peter's boss with her usual authority, and Oliver Platt is the colleague who reads the situation — but not soon enough. Flynn Boyle keeps Kris coolly unreadable throughout: no cracks, no slips, no tells, which is exactly where the film locates its unease.
