Synopsis
Season 2 of Rocko's Modern Life (1994) gives you twenty-three more episodes of the Nickelodeon cartoon, and you can watch it online on iFILM. O-Town hasn't changed and neither has Rocko, the wallaby who keeps tripping over his own daily life — but this run pushes the jokes harder and weirder than the first.
The stories reach past simple errands now. Rocko learns that his sour neighbor Ed Bighead has a long-lost son and sets out to track him down. Ed's wife lands a top job at the Conglom-O corporation, Filburt heeds an ancient call to his species' spawning ground on his twenty-first birthday, and when Rocko faces deportation, that same nervous turtle poses as his husband to keep him in the country. There's a Christmas special, a few road trips, and the usual disasters built around a clogged pipe, a giant TV, or a fresh pair of glasses. Heffer and dim, devoted Spunky are right there making all of it worse.
Creator Joe Murray keeps tucking jabs at consumerism and sly adult humor under the bright kids'-show surface. This season moves a little quicker than the first — fewer episodes, more ideas crammed into them. Stream Rocko's Modern Life Season 2 online on iFILM, all episodes.
