K (2012) is an action anime you can watch online on iFILM. Shiro Isana is an ordinary student at Ashinaka High School — right up to the afternoon when men crackling with red fire try to gun him down in the open street.

The charge against him: murdering a member of the Red clan. In this city power is split among seven Kings, each commanding his own faction and his own kind of strength. Shiro remembers nothing and swears he killed no one, but there's no one to take his word. Rescue comes from a swordsman, Kurou Yatogami, a former disciple of the Colorless King — though he, too, first meant to cut Shiro down. Now the pair flee both Red and Blue while trying to work out who framed Shiro and who he really is. Daisuke Namikawa and Mikako Komatsu lead the voice cast.

Studio GoHands bets everything on style: a roaming camera, acid-bright color, fights where flame and steel look painted onto the frame. The plot occasionally trips over its own mythology, but the visuals pull their weight alone. Thirteen episodes, with sequels and a feature film waiting for anyone who gets hooked.
