Bungo Stray Dogs (Season 1)

Bungo Stray Dogs (文豪ストレイドッグス, from 2016) is a Japanese action-mystery anime series you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Ikunori Sato and based on Kafka Asagiri's manga. The premise is a clever one: every character is named after a famous 20th-century Japanese or world author, and their supernatural abilities are drawn from those writers' actual works.

Atsushi Nakajima, thrown out of an orphanage with nothing, pulls a stranger from a river — only to find that stranger is Osamu Dazai, agent of the Armed Detective Agency, a team of ability users who handle crimes too strange for the police. Atsushi soon discovers why they were interested in him: a white tiger has been terrorizing the city, and it lives inside him. Mamoru Miyano voices the darkly comedic Dazai; Yuto Uemura voices Atsushi. The show spans multiple seasons with an escalating war between the Agency, the Port Mafia, and factions from abroad.
