Synopsis
Me & You (Io e te, 2012) — watch online on iFILM, an Italian coming-of-age drama directed by Bernardo Bertolucci. Fourteen-year-old Lorenzo tells his parents he's going on a school ski trip. He's not. He locks himself in the basement to be alone, which is the only place he actually wants to be.
His plan falls apart when Olivia, his half-sister, turns up uninvited. She's running from something harder to name than loneliness, and suddenly two people who can't talk to anyone find themselves stuck together in the same cramped space. Bertolucci made this film at 72, largely from a wheelchair — it became his final feature, and it shows a director stripping everything back to essentials.
