Dream High (드림하이, 2011), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM, a Korean coming-of-age drama set at a performing arts school across sixteen episodes. Kirin Arts High trains the next wave of K-pop stars, and the teens who land there arrive carrying wildly different baggage.
The season braids several of those stories together. Hye Mi once aimed for Juilliard and classical voice, until her father's debts push her into an ordinary arts school where she has to start over. Country boy Sam Dong follows her there out of nothing but a crush, then discovers he can actually sing. A gifted, undisciplined dancer named Jin Guk, exchange student Jason, and the diligent Baek Hee round out a circle where rivalry for the stage keeps tangling with first friendships and first love. Failed auditions, a money-strapped trip to Japan, tempting offers to study abroad — each episode nudges these kids toward choosing between the dream and the people beside them.
JYP Entertainment served as music producer, and the cast reads like an idol lineup in the making: Suzy of Miss A, singer IU, Taecyeon and Wooyoung of 2PM. The season is strongest when a performance quietly shows what someone else's success actually costs. Stream Dream High Season 1 online on iFILM.

All kinds of students are auditioning to be a student at Kirin High School. Hae Mi copes with rejection after losing her position to Beak Hee.

Hae Mi is forced to dance behind Sam Dong, but she doubts his talent. Sam Dong becomes attracted to Hae Mi after hearing her sing.

Beak Hee's event is a success. Lee Byung Jun puts Hae Mi and Jin Guk on stage to undermine the director's authority -- and it is a total disaster.

Hae Mi announces that she will beat Beak Hee on the first monthly test. But Hae Mi and Jin Guk are not allowed to take the Performance class.

Sam Dong gets hit by a flowerpot and he is sent to the emergency room. Hae Mi feels responsible for what happened, so she takes care of him.

CEO Hyun asks Jin Guk to drop out of Kirin High School to go abroad. Hae Mi is shocked by Jin Guk's behavior. Jason and Lia open the showcase.

Jin Guk runs away from the airport and goes to see Hae Mi, but she is already gone. It pains Sam Dong to see Hae Mi suffering.

The school goes to Japan for a field trip, and Hae Mi, Sam Dong and Oh Hyuk fly together. After arriving at Japan, they sing at a wedding for money.

Hye Mi crashes with Ria and Baek Hee, and her stomach growls loudly but her pride won't let her accept the snacks Baek Hee offers.

CEO Yoon offers Hae Mi a debut and she is happy to be on stage with Jin Guk. Oh Hyuk plans to leave the school, and Hae Mi tries to make him stay.

Oh Hyuk returns and tries to talk to Sam Dong. Sam Dong says he won't be in the showcase. Beak Hee must sing her own composition at the performance.

Sam Dong tells Hae Mi to stay away from him and not to worry about him anymore. To get over her, he starts training with Pil Suk to work on his pitch.

Oh Hyuk finds out Baek Hee was at the scene of the incident. Students are suprised by the challenge of a global contest.

Byung Jik comes back to Korea and asks Hae Mi to go abroad. Sam Dong feels bad that Hae Mi might go away. Pil Suk works on a cable television show.

Doo Shik tells the group that he's running up against a giant wall when it comes to the studios. Baek Hee and Jin Gook try not to hold the group back.
