Synopsis
Strong Girl Nam-soon (힘쎈여자 강남순, 2023), Season 1 — 16 episodes, watch online on iFILM. A Korean romantic comedy spin-off of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon, following a different family: three generations of women — grandmother, mother and daughter — each born with superhuman strength. Nam-soon grew up in Mongolia with no idea who her birth parents were.
She arrives in Seoul to find her family and walks straight into a drug investigation — a synthetic substance called X is spreading through Gangnam. Detective Hee-sik keeps crossing her path and gradually pieces together that there is nothing ordinary about his new neighbour. Season villain Ryu Si-o sees opportunity in her abilities and pulls her into his inner circle, which sets the entire back half of the season in motion.
The romance earns its moments without rushing, the humour stays grounded in everyday absurdity, and the action sequences are inventive. Sixteen episodes across comedy, crime and fantasy is a difficult tonal balance — Strong Girl Nam-soon manages it. Stream Season 1 on iFILM.
