Synopsis
Marlon Season 1 (2017) — a 10-episode NBC sitcom, watch online on iFILM. Marlon Wayans plays a version of himself: recently divorced, raising two kids, and running an internet show called The Marlon Wayans Show that can't hold a sponsor.
He and his ex Ashley have agreed to stay friendly for the children's sake. The season tests how long that lasts — Ashley starts dating someone new, Marlon keeps turning up at her house without knocking, their daughter brings home a boy, and at some point they have to discuss whether ex-with-benefits is a terrible idea. Marlon coaches Zack's basketball team, recreates the housing projects from his childhood to teach the kids gratitude, and eventually loses his spare key by using it once too many times.
It's a more grounded show than the premise suggests. Wayans is funnier when he's not pushing, and Season 1 mostly lets him coast on that. Stream Marlon Season 1 online on iFILM.
