About
Synopsis
Woodlawn (2015) is a faith-driven sports drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by brothers Jon and Andrew Erwin and featuring Sean Astin, Jon Voight, and Caleb Castille. Birmingham, Alabama in the early 1970s: forced integration has turned Woodlawn High into a powder keg, with tensions between Black and white students threatening to combust on and off the field.
Into this friction steps a gifted young running back whose speed alone won't be enough to survive the season. Based on the true story of a football team that became an unlikely bridge between communities at war with each other, the film leans hard into themes of faith and perseverance without softening the ugliness of the era.
