Their bond drifts between tenderness and the casual cruelty of adolescence, while a quiet unease hangs over the still lake the whole time.

This is the directing debut of actress Charlotte Le Bon, adapted from Bastien Vivès' graphic novel A Sister and premiered at Cannes. Shot on grainy 16mm, the summer plays like a half-remembered dream.
