Pietro grows up in Turin but spends childhood summers in a small mountain village where Bruno is the only kid his age. They come from different worlds and want different lives: one leaves, one stays. The film follows them across the years as their paths keep crossing in the shadow of the same peaks — neither able to fully let go of what they meant to each other at ten years old.

Shot in the Valle d'Aosta at altitude, the landscape is not backdrop but argument: the mountains frame a slow, serious question about where a life is actually lived.
