Renaissance Man

Renaissance Man (1994) is a comedy-drama directed by Penny Marshall that you can watch online on iFILM. Danny DeVito plays Bill Rago, an out-of-work Detroit advertising man who ends up teaching basic thinking skills to a group of Army recruits nobody else wants to deal with.

Eight trainees, zero motivation. Rago shows up with no military background and no plan, then stumbles onto an unlikely solution: Shakespeare. The class starts as a joke and slowly turns into something neither the recruits nor their reluctant teacher expected. Gregory Hines, Mark Wahlberg and Cliff Robertson fill out a cast that keeps the film grounded in character rather than cheap inspirational beats.
