Drop Zone

Drop Zone (1994) is a John Badham action thriller you can watch online on iFILM. U.S. Marshal Pete Nessip is escorting a captured computer hacker by plane when armed skydivers blow a hole in the fuselage at 30,000 feet, snatch the prisoner mid-air, and leave Nessip's brother dead.

Stripped of his badge and blamed for the disaster, Pete tracks down expert skydiver Jessie Crossman and bankrolls her team so she'll teach him to jump. He wants to meet the killers where they live — in free fall. The man pulling the strings is rogue DEA agent Ty Moncrief, played by a wild-eyed Gary Busey, who's using the chaos to cover a data heist timed to a Fourth of July parachute show over Washington. Wesley Snipes does much of the falling himself.

Badham shot real jumps with real divers, and that hard, practical stuntwork is the reason the film still flies. Worth a look if you miss mid-90s action that cared more about altitude than logic. Stream Drop Zone (1994) online on iFILM.
