Synopsis
The Impostors (1998) is a screwball comedy you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Stanley Tucci, who also stars alongside Oliver Platt. Two starving actors, Arthur and Maurice, drunkenly insult a famous stage star and end up stowing away on a luxury cruise liner with the police closing in.
The ship is full of suspicious characters. Alfred Molina plays a brooding opera singer, while Tony Shalhoub, Steve Buscemi, and Allison Janney turn up in roles that range from manic to genuinely strange. The whole thing moves at a vaudeville tempo — short scenes, physical gags, no CGI required.
