Final Portrait

Final Portrait (2017) is an intimate drama you can watch online on iFILM, written and directed by Stanley Tucci. Paris, 1964: sculptor and painter Alberto Giacometti asks his American friend, the writer James Lord, to sit for a portrait. Two hours, he says. An afternoon at most.

Two weeks later, Lord is still sitting. Geoffrey Rush plays Giacometti as a man perpetually chasing a likeness he can never quite reach — erasing the canvas each evening, promising to finish the next morning. Armie Hammer is Lord, rescheduling his flight home day after day. Clémence Poésy, Tony Shalhoub, and Sylvie Testud round out the cast.
