Synopsis
The Man Who Fell to Earth (2022), Season 1 — watch this ten-episode sci-fi drama online on iFILM. A being in human shape slams into the New Mexico oil fields with eight hours to find the one person who can save his dying world.
That person is Justin Falls, a scientist who walked away from her own brilliance to hold her family together. The alien, who borrows the name Faraday, drags her back toward the dream she buried. The season carries the two of them from a desert night into the cutthroat world of Big Tech, billion-dollar stakes, and a CIA that closes in episode by episode. Along the way Faraday has to learn how to be human — to feel, to lie, to love — and to crack the blueprint for a machine his home planet, Anthea, cannot survive without.
This Showtime series builds on Walter Tevis's novel and the David Bowie film, which is why every episode borrows a Bowie song title. Chiwetel Ejiofor plays an outsider more human than the people chasing him. Made for viewers who want ideas and feeling over spectacle. Stream Season 1 online on iFILM.
