Synopsis

They learn the reason too late. A year earlier, in those same rooms, the previous owners' son shot his whole family in their sleep. James Brolin plays a father whose eyes slowly go cold, Margot Kidder the wife who senses it first, and Rod Steiger the tormented Father Delaney.
Adapted from Jay Anson's bestseller about the Lutzes, who swore they fled after just 28 days, the film never settles whether any of it was real — and that argument still runs today.
