His lifeline is Addison, a hologram only he can see (Caitlin Bassett); the program is run by a veteran called Magic, played by Ernie Hudson.

It's a sequel to the cult 1989 original, built around a fresh lead and a longer mystery about who restarted the project and what they're hiding. The "new body each week" format rides on top of a serialized arc, and the show ran for two seasons. One for time-travel fans who like an anthology feel with a thread running underneath.
