Synopsis
Pieces of April (2003) is an American indie comedy-drama directed by Peter Hedges that you can watch online on iFILM, with Katie Holmes as April Burns — a twenty-one-year-old New Yorker whose apartment is small, her oven is broken, and her family is already on the road.
April has invited her estranged family for Thanksgiving dinner. Her mother Joy (Patricia Clarkson) is dealing with a terminal breast cancer diagnosis and has no strong reason to make the trip, but the Burns family piles into the car in Pennsylvania anyway. April, meanwhile, burns through every neighbor on her floor trying to find someone with a working stove. Her boyfriend Bobby (Derek Luke) wants to help. She sends him away.
