Synopsis
Gintama (2006), Season 9 — watch online on iFILM across 13 episodes where the show catches its breath after a galactic war and goes back to joking around. No overarching arc here: each story stands on its own.
The season is built from short detours, and nearly every one exists to torment the cast. Kagura announces she has a boyfriend, and Gintoki and Umibozu put the poor suitor through an interrogation he didn't sign up for. Katsura hunts down an old man who came for a bowl of ramen every New Year's Eve. Gintoki gets a cursed sword stuck to his backside and duels Okita for the right to be rid of it. Then comes an idol showdown at the Oedo Dome, an episode about a Gintama video game release, and a neighborhood sports meet refereed by guardian spirits.
