Synopsis
The White Princess (2017), Season 1 is an eight-episode historical drama about power and a marriage of convenience — watch online on iFILM. It runs as a complete miniseries, adapted from Philippa Gregory's novel.
The Wars of the Roses are supposedly over. To seal the peace, the York daughter Elizabeth — Lizzie — is wed to the Lancaster victor, the new King Henry VII. A union of two enemy houses opens on suspicion and cold calculation: he is grasping and wary, she stays loyal to her own blood, and each treats the other as a rival across the bedchamber. Then a young man surfaces in Burgundy claiming to be the lost York prince, and the Tudor throne starts to genuinely shake. Caught between her husband, her formidable mother and her own children, Lizzie is eventually forced to pick a side — without literally losing her head.
Jodie Comer, a couple of years before Killing Eve, carries the season on sheer poise as a queen learning to rule from the shadows. Court intrigue, period costume, and women steering history while the men swing swords. A strong pick for fans of The White Queen and palace drama. Stream The White Princess Season 1 online on iFILM.
