But Deathstroke has long held a contract on the Titans, and someone close is already feeding him their every move. The betrayal builds in plain sight, and the team clocks it far too late. Alongside it, Damian Wayne learns to fight as part of a crew rather than a lone wolf.

This adapts one of the most celebrated arcs in comics, written by Marv Wolfman and drawn by George Pérez back in the 1980s. Sam Liu directs, with Christina Ricci voicing Terra and Miguel Ferrer as Slade. It hits harder than you expect from a movie about teen heroes, with a gut-punch at its core.
